Two Core Capabilities
Precision Machining & Complete Component Manufacturing
Santosh Engineering Works is a precision engineering and automotive component manufacturing company serving the automotive, diesel engine and hydraulic industries. We undertake both precision machining of customer-supplied castings and forgings, and complete manufacturing of components from raw material through machining and secondary processes.
Precision Machining of Castings & Forgings
You supply the casting or forging — we machine and inspect it to your drawing. Engine housings, covers, manifolds, valve bodies and hydraulic blocks with accurate faces, bores, ports, holes and threads.
- VMC machining, face milling, boring and port machining
- Drilling, tapping and spot facing of critical features
- In-process inspection and dimensional verification
Complete Component Manufacturing
From raw material to finished part. Studs, U-clamps, special fasteners, piston cooling nozzles and special turned components are manufactured completely in-house to customer drawings and specifications.
- CNC turning, threading, drilling and chamfering
- Grinding and secondary operations
- Heat-treatment / surface-finish coordination as applicable
Manufacturing Capabilities
Machining Operations Under One Roof

FAQs
Precision Machining & Component Manufacturing — FAQs
What does Santosh Engineering Works do?
Santosh Engineering Works is an ISO 9001:2015 certified precision engineering and automotive component manufacturer at Dehu, near Pimpri-Chinchwad, Pune (Maharashtra), operating since 1980. We offer two capabilities: precision machining of customer-supplied castings and forgings, and complete manufacturing of components such as studs, U-clamps, special fasteners, piston cooling nozzles and precision turned parts.
What is the difference between precision machining and complete manufacturing?
In precision machining, the customer supplies the casting or forging and we machine and inspect it to drawing — for example engine housings, covers, manifolds, valve bodies and hydraulic blocks. In complete manufacturing, we produce the whole part from raw material through machining and secondary processes — for example studs, U-clamps, special fasteners and turned components. Some hydraulic and diesel engine parts can follow either route.
Do you machine customer-supplied castings and forgings?
Yes. We machine ferrous and non-ferrous castings and forgings supplied by customers, including faces, bores, ports, holes, threads, pockets and other critical features, with in-process inspection and dimensional verification.
Which grades of studs do you manufacture?
We manufacture Class 6.8, 8.8 and 10.9 studs, stainless steel (SS) studs and special threaded studs in customer-specified sizes, thread forms and lengths for automotive and diesel engine applications.
Do you manufacture piston cooling nozzles and oil jets?
Yes. We manufacture piston cooling nozzles, oil jets and oil gallery / lubrication components for diesel engine applications to critical dimensional requirements.
Which machining operations are available?
CNC turning, VMC machining, face milling, drilling, tapping, boring, chamfering, spot facing, beading, threading and special threaded features, grinding and secondary operations, heat-treatment / surface-finish coordination, and inspection with CMM-based dimensional verification.
What machines do you have in-house?
Our Dehu, Pune plant runs 34 machines: 8 BT40 vertical machining centres from HAAS, BFW and Taikan (7 with a 4th axis), 3 CNC turning centres (BFW and HAAS, up to Ø 300 mm), a Citizen A20 sliding head, 14 PMT Traub automats, centerless and surface grinders, hydraulic thread rolling machines and a press. The full list with sizes is on our Machinery page.
Which industries do you serve?
Automotive, diesel engines, hydraulics, industrial engineering and precision component applications across India.
Can you manufacture to my drawing?
Yes. All components are machined or manufactured to customer drawings and specifications. Send your drawing or specification and we will review manufacturing feasibility and share a quotation.
Where are you located?
